A message from the Housemistress
Hill House is a very friendly house fostering a strong work ethic. All girls will be expected to give of their best when asked, to do your prep on time, attend House Assembly and to take part in House activities. There is nothing better than winning house competitions, but this is only one of many ways of involving yourself with the life of the house. Looking after others and treating other pupils, staff and visitors in a courteous and friendly manner is just as important.
We have a strong sense of community within the house, and past experience has shown me that new students will quickly make many life-long friends. For most girls the first few days and maybe even weeks may seem strange and difficult to adjust to, however, there are lots of ‘old hands’ around to help you through your new experiences.
Our house is home to quite a mixture of young girls coming from places as diverse as China, Russia, Germany Africa and the UK. All pitch in helping each other in many diverse ways. The smell of ethnic cooking coming from the house kitchen just has to be experienced.
